Indoor cleaning is usually a separate job you need to book in addition, and it’s often done a different way. Outside work uses a pole and pure water, sprayed and rinsed from the ground. Inside work uses cloths and a squeegee, done by hand, because you can’t run a hose through someone’s living room.
Why most window cleaners only do outside
It comes down to time and pace. Outside cleaning is quick – pole up, spray, rinse, move to the next house. That’s how a cleaner can get round dozens of homes in a day and keep the price low. Inside work means coming into your home, moving furniture, being careful around belongings, and taking much more time per window. Most companies haven’t built that into a regular round, so it’s kept separate.
There’s also a safety aspect. UK guidance for window cleaners says work at height should be avoided wherever reasonably possible, and cleaning from inside is one of the ways that’s done on windows that are harder or riskier to reach from outside.
